Household Business Guide Launched in Hanoi
The Embassy of Canada, with the Hanoi Entrepreneur Women's Association, co-hosted on March 19 an event to launch the “Household Business Guide”. This marks one of the Embassy's initiatives to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Canada-Vietnam relations and to implement Canada’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy in Vietnam.
“Canada has a strong interest in the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), including microenterprises, as agents of growth, both at home and abroad. We are committed to assisting social and economic development as well as gender equality,” said Ambassador Chatsis at the launch. “We hope that tools such as this Household Business Guide will help build Vietnam’s strong entrepreneurship and contribute to this kind of excellence in Vietnam. We specifically hope that this guide will assist women in Vietnam.”
The user friendly guide contains detailed instructions to help people who want to run a household business, including from how to get started to how to manage the daily business and finances, to how to develop and grow the business. The guide is written by Mr Vu Tuan Anh, an experienced financial analyst and management consultant with expertise in private sector development, investment and finance, and management consulting in Vietnam and overseas.
