Lord Mayor of City of London Visits Vietnam

The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Ms Fiona Woolf just led a leading City business delegation to pay an official visit to Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi to boost financial and economic ties that have developed between the two countries.
 
During the three day visit, the Lord Mayor met senior Vietnamese officials, policymakers and business professionals in Vietnam, and exchanged opinions on how to boost sustainable growth in both nations by working more closely together. Key areas of discussion included opportunities for collaboration arising from Foreign Direct Investment on infrastructure projects, professional/vocational skills training, intellectual capital, Public – Private Partnership projects, and the proposed EU – Vietnam free trade agreement.
 
In Ho Chi Minh City, the Lord Mayor also participated in a ceremony to award the Level 2 Labour Medal of the President of the state of Vietnam for Prudential Vietnam.
