National Single Window to Be Connected from Nov 30, 2014
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh recently directed the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport to actively and expeditiously complete the formal connection of Phase 1 of the National Single Window (NSW), as stipulated in Decision 56 / QD-BCDASW dated August 11, 2014.
He assigned the National Steering Committee on ASEAN Single Window (ASW) and NSW to track the progress. Earlier, the Ministry of Finance sent Official Document 14499/BTC-TCHQ dated October 10, 2014 to ask the Deputy Prime Minister for the approval of the formal NSW connection. According to this document, NSW will be officially interconnected from November 30, 2014 to perform three procedures of the Ministry of Transport on the NSW Portal, namely procedures on Vietnamese ships and foreign ships entering Vietnamese ports; procedures on Vietnamese ships and foreign ships in existing Vietnamese ports; and procedures on foreign ships transiting through Vietnam.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade will connect with NSW on December 31, 2014 to perform following procedures: C/O Form D certification, large-capacity motorcycle import certification, ozone layer depleting substance import certification, Kimberley certification for rough diamonds, and licensing procedures for industrial explosive import and export.
The Deputy Prime Minister also allocated the Ministry of Finance to link to NSW soon.
