Vietnam's Investment in Cambodia Tops US$3 Billion
Vietnam’s investment in Cambodia has so far exceeded US$3 billion with more than 130 projects, according to the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City. The value is expected to reach US$4-4.2 billion in 2015.
Vietnamese companies have mainly invested in telecommunications, banking, energy, rubber growing and agro-processing industries. Some big companies in Vietnam have established their presence in Cambodia, including like BIDV, Viettel, Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, PetroVietnam, Vietnam Airlines and Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group.
