VND8 Million Fined for Invoice Lost from August 1
The Government recently issued Decree No. 49/2016/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles in Decree No. 109/2013/ND-CP dated September 24, 2013 on fines on administrative violations in price, charge and fee management. Specifically, the act of placing orders of printing invoice without signing in writing will be fined VND500,000 to VND1.5 million.
A fine of VND2-4 million will be imposed on the act of printing invoices when tax authorities declared companies disqualified for placing orders of printing invoices, except for the case that tax authorities do not send any opinion in writing concerning this regard to the request of using invoices placed for printing by such companies based on the guidance of the Ministry of Finance. This rate of fine is also subject to acts of notifying the issue of invoices without enough content as provided in the law.
A fine of VND4-8 million is levied on acts of having issued invoices lost, fired or damaged in case customers have not received such invoices, except for loss, burning or damage caused by the Act of God or fires or other incidents of force majeure. The decree takes effect from August 1, 2016.
