Administrative Reform under Review

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked relevant agencies to make practical assessment of the implementation of the administrative procedure reform.

The Government chief made the request on August 17 in Ha Noi at a video-teleconference on administrative procedure reform in the 2011-2015 period and tasks in the 2016-2020 period.

The event drew the attendance of Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh, leaders from all ministries, agencies, and 63 localities.

PM Phuc also asked for honest opinions on the apparatus organization, public staff, legal institution, public administrative services, and wages.

He called for comments and solutions to successfully conduct the reform in the next phase.  

The issues of administrative procedure reform especially that on streamlining public staff, wage reform, IT application in State management, were put on the table for discussion.

According to a report of the Government Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, in the 2016-2020 period, the reform will focus on raising satisfactory level of people and enterprises on administrative procedures and education and healthcare to over 80 per cent by 2020; and apply ISO standards at public offices.
