Haiphong Customs Handles 86 Cases of Specialised Inspection Violations

Haiphong Customs handled 86 cases of specialised inspection violations in the third quarter alone, of which 80 cases involved in quality. The most common act of violation was filing wrong customs documents. Four cases of violation engaged in lateness in filing customs documents concerning food safety inspection.
 
Notably, one violation case related to import licensing: The importer failed to show import permits, and the last case was the importation of disqualified imports.
 
In the third quarter alone, the Haiphong Customs Department had nearly 80,000 declarations subject to specialised inspection management (food safety, quarantine, quality, licence, etc.) Particularly, there were 79,024 import declarations, accounting for 39.3 per cent of total import declarations. 15,058 declaration forms were subject to quarantine inspection and 10 152 declarations were imposed import condition inspection.
Export is less exposed to specialised management than import. In the third quarter, 475 declaration forms were subject to specialised management, accounting for 0.03 per cent of export declaration forms.
