S. Korea Lends US$27Mln to Vietnam to Build 5 Vocational Schools

 

South Korea will provide US$27 million in loans to help Vietnam to construct five vocational training schools.

 

The beneficiary schools are in Hanoi, northern province of Quang Ninh, central province of Quang Ngai and southern province of Binh Duong and Ca Mau.

 

According to the Ministry of Planning and Development, the Prime Minister on February 21 approved the pre-feasibility study project to upgrade the five schools in an effort to prepare qualified workers to grasp modern technology to serve for the country's development

 

Vietnam this year will invest VND340 billion (US$21.6 million) in the national vocational training programme, double last year's spending, said the General Department of Vocational Training.

 

Vietnam currently has around 400 vocational training schools.
