Emirates is celebrating its second year of operations and the first anniversary of its non-stop daily flights to Vietnam’s capital city. Since its first flight to Hanoi from Dubai in 2016, Emirates has carried more than 400,000 passengers on the route. In addition, more than 1.25 million passengers have flown Emirates to and from Ho Chi Minh City since its launch in 2012.

Emirates’ growth in revenues for the Vietnam market has outpaced the growth in passenger numbers by 24% supporting the fact that levels of engagement with its customer base has improved over last year. Emirates’ host of product and services have contributed to the higher perceived value of the Emirates experience. An award-winning in-flight entertainment system, ‘ice’, airport services offering convenience to its customers and a comprehensive customer loyalty programme ‘Skywards”, to name just a few, all have raised the bar in service excellence and enriched the customer journey from the time of booking until after one reaches their final destination.

Emirates products and services have won multiple awards over the years with ‘ice’ being named the “World’s Best Inflight entertainment” by Skytrax World Airline Awards 2018 for the 14th consecutive year.

Haitham Al Battawy, Country Manager Emirates Vietnam, said: “Since we started operations to Vietnam in 2012, Emirates has enjoyed considerable growth and is progressing as the preferred choice among Vietnamese travellers. We are committed to providing travellers with more choice, flexibility, convenience and greater connectivity to the world via our global hub, Dubai.”

“Vietnam is an important market for Emirates and we have enjoyed resounding success in the country since 2012. To date we have carried more than 1.7 million passengers on routes to and from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. We are proudly serving the Vietnamese market with daily non-stop flights to Dubai from the two gateways which is warranted by strong passenger and cargo demands, offering our passengers more flexibility on the route to Dubai and onwards to over 155 passenger destinations in 85 countries and territories,” continued Mr. Al Battawy.
