99.9 Pct of Enterprises Declare Tax Electronically
According to the latest information from the General Department of Taxation, as of November 30, 2018, up to 99.92 per cent of operational enterprises are using electronic tax declaration services. They submitted over 56.4 million declaration records into the system. 98.41 per cent of enterprises in operation registered to pay electronic tax, which amounted to VND551,621 billion in 2018.
As electronic VAT reimbursement, tax authorities received 19,153 tax refund records via the electronic medium in the year to November 20, 2018, fulling 93.14 per cent. 14,509 records were settled with a total refunded VAT of VND81,269 billion. 253 enterprises issued 7,259,022 verified electronic invoices with a total tax revenue of more than VND82,590 billion.
In particular, the General Department carried out electronic projects as scheduled, including land tax payment service, vehicle registration fee payment, land rent tax payment and personal business tax.
The General Department also simplified nine administrative procedures (abolished seven and streamlined two). It reviewed and rationalised administrative procedures to meet online services at Level 3 and Level 4 as requested by the Ministry of Finance, and proposed upgrading 140 online administrative procedures from Level 1 and Level 2 to Level 3 and Level 4 in 2019 - 2020.
