Vietnam, U.S. Foster Cooperation in Health Insurance

The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) recently held a working session with a U.S high-level health and life business delegation in Hanoi to discuss VSS’s direction matters in organizing and carrying out health insurance and proposing cooperation between the two sides.

Highly remarking on Vietnam - United States cooperation achievements, particularly in social security, VSS Deputy General Director Dao Viet Anh expected U.S. experiences will support and cooperate with VSS to carry out sustainable universal health insurance, medicine bidding and management and health technology assessment in building insurance-covered medicine lists.

The Vietnam Social Security highly appreciated the goodwill of U.S. businesses about their desire to help develop and improve the social security system, especially health insurance policies in Vietnam.

Mr. Alexander Feldman, President and CEO of the U.S. - ASEAN Business Council, spoke highly of working results with VSS. He said that useful information from the working meeting with VSS will strongly support US health businesses to promote market research, support and invest in the fields that involve in carrying out social health policies, medicine and community health in Vietnam to deliver best healthcare services to Vietnamese people.
