MM Mega Market, a new brand has just published in Vietnam 4 years ago, belongs to BJC/TCC Group (Thailand), after receiving the transfer of METRO hypermarket chain, has risen to ranked 3rd in the Top 10 most prestigious retailers in 2020, alongside other long-established brand-names in Vietnam.
The award is organized by Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Report), analyzed on scientific and unbiased principles. Companies are evaluated and ranked based on 3 main criteria: (1) Financial capacity shown on the latest financial report; (2) Media reputation is measured by Media Coding - encoding the company's articles on influential media channels; (3) Survey the research subjects list and stakeholders: consumers, experts, etc The report was conducted in August 2020.

Since the acquisition and transmission of hypermarkets chain from METRO in 2016 to TCC Land International (under the management of Berli Jucker Public Company Limited ("BJC"), under TCC Group (Thailand), MM Mega Market Vietnam (“MMVN”) has focused on building a modern supply chains, directly connecting with farmers and local agricultural productions, to ensure 90% of products are made in Vietnam. Aims to bring diversify products, meet the fresh and safety standards with competitive prices, thereby creating many stable job opportunities and increasing income for farmers, supporting them to gain knowledge how to apply technology in agriculture. In particular, MMVN has cooperated with local farmers, fishermen and local agricultural production to organize training courses to provide knowledge and cultivation techniques. The company has trained over 20,000 farmers, fishermen, local agricultural productions and supported them in transforming the production models and applying the quality standards such as: VietGap, GlobalGap. With these certifications, farmers have more opportunities to list their products into modern distribution and export channels.

For commitments of exporting Vietnamese agricultural products, in August 2019, MM Mega Market Vietnam officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promote the export of Vietnamese goods to foreign markets. For example, replacing conventional lighting by the LED lighting system by the end of 2020 at 16 supermarkets, installing natural light pipes technology at supermarkets, proceeding to install the solar systems at some supermarkets.
