The Exposition and Workshop of Thailand’s Education in Vietnam: An Opportunity to Seek Human Resource of High Qualification

In an effort to develop the human resource of high qualifications, Vietnam has taken decisive action of networking with universities all over the world. In this regard, to further promote the educational cooperation between universities in Vietnam and Thailand, the Higher Education Committee of Thai Education Ministry, in coordination with the Thai Foreign Ministry, the Thai Embassy in Hanoi, and the Vietnam Ministry of Education & Training, organised the 4^th Exposition and Workshop of “Thailand’s Higher Education” from 21-22 May 2005 in Melia Hotel, Hanoi.

This event comprises four major activities: Workshop of Higher Education, Workshop between rectors and senior lecturers of Thailand and Vietnam’s universities, Exposition of Thailand’s Education with the participation of 32 universities and educational organisations in Thailand, and visits to big universities in Hanoi.

The Workshop on human resource building for regional prosperity has also focused on outstanding areas such as Information technology and communications, Tourism and Language. Furthermore, the Workshop between senior managers of Vietnam and Thailand’s universities under the theme “Joint vision and action for sustainable development and prosperity” has been held with a view to enhancing the bilateral cooperation in the field of education and technology. The highlight of the Workshop is the dynamism of students, the credible exchanges between Thailand and Vietnam’s universities, as well as the potential of setting up joint research centers or projects sponsored by both Thailand and Vietnam.

On this occasion, more than 50 scholarships to Thailand’s universities were awarded to eligible Vietnamese students.
