Apartment Complex for Low Income Earners Underway in HCM City

Khang Gia Ltd. Co. on May 16 officially kicked off construction on an apartment building complex for low-income people in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

The Gia Phu complex will comprise two 9-storey buildings covering a total area of 10,352 square metres and will be equipped with an automatic fire prevention and fighting system, a European standard high-speed elevator, and other opulent furnishings.

 

It is the first complex of this standard for low incomers in the city.

 

An investment of VND155 billion (USUS$9.9 million) was funnelled into the construction of the complex, which features 246 apartments with an area of around 60-95sq.m each.

 

With the help of the Housing Development Bank of Ho Chi Minh City, the low income earners are able to pay for their apartments in 5-10 yearly installments.

 

In related news, the Khang Gia Co. has also signed a contract to invest VND5 billion (USUS$318,471) in upgrading infrastructure in Tan Phu district. The company is said to be the first of its kind in the city which is licensed to construct tall buildings in a move to complete a blueprint to build 30,000 new apartments in Ho Chi Minh City.
