Taxes on Imported Auto Parts Set to Rise
According to the Ministry of Finance on May 16 proposed to the Prime Minister to increase taxes on imported auto parts with a rise of 20 per cent for trucks above 20 tonnes and 15 per cent for specialised cars. For integrated parts (frame with motor, etc.), the import tax will be increased from the current 20 per cent to 30 per cent. Meanwhile the special consumption tax on automobiles will be decreased in 2005.
