Vietcombank Mobilizes $7.85Bln So Far

 

State-owned Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), the largest commercial bank in Vietnam, announced that it had mobilized VND124 trillion ($7.85 billion) by the end of May, including some VND51.95 trillion ($3.3 billion) in the Vietnam dong and $4.53 billion in foreign currencies.

 

Vietcombank also posted its total outstanding loans of more than VND51 trillion, while its bad debts ratio is reported under 3%.

 

The bank has still maintained its position as the country’s top bank in providing import-export payment services, holding around 30% of the market share.

 

The bank has also been leading the country in issuing the credit cards. It has issued 700,000 domestic credit cards and it is also eyeing at 1.2 million cards by the end of this year.
