Nearly 80,000 Records Processed on NSW Portal in July

The General Department of Vietnam Customs is completing explanations to solutions and approaches for building the master plan on information technology (IT) system construction and development for the implementation of the ASEAN Single Window and the National Single Window.

The department is developing and preparing the agenda and documents for the online meeting of the National Steering Committee for ASEAN Single Window, National Single Window and Trade Facilitation. (Currently, the documents are being completed to submit to the Ministry of Finance to report to Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, Chairman of Committee 1899. The report covered contents depicting activities in late 2020 and early 2021 and tasks for late 2021, which will be released at the 8th Meeting of Committee 1899).

Approximately 80,000 applications, filed by nearly 800 enterprises, were processed on the National Single Window Portal from June 15 to July 15, 2021. 226 administrative procedures of 13 ministries and central agencies were officially launched on the NSW as of July 15, 2021. Nearly 3.97 million records filed by nearly 48,500 enterprises were settled.

On the ASEAN Single Window, Certificates of Origin Form D were electronically exchanged among nine ASEAN countries. From June 15 to July 15, 2021, Vietnam received nearly 17,000 C/O from ASEAN countries and granted 31,400 C/O to other member countries. Accumulatively, Vietnam received 383,446 C/O from ASEAN countries and issued 970,894 C/O to other ASEAN countries.

The department is working with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to prepare technical conditions for exchanging information on ASEAN customs declarations and phytosanitary certificates with Indonesia and Thailand. Vietnam is expected to officially connect and exchange information on electronic export customs declarations from October 1, 2021.
