After graduating from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, director of the enterprise worked for the PP Packaging Plant in Can Tho. At that time, the plant had a modern production line made by the Lengzing Group. His daily work helped him discover the benefits of rubber and from then on he began to think of how to manufacture rubber products to replace expensive imported products.

He went to Ho Chi Minh City, where he worked for rubber plants in the hope of gaining experience and capital to realise his dream. Unfortunately, during an accident, he got burned seriously and he had to return to Can Tho to live with his family. Not giving up to his unlucky fate, he worked very hard to realise his dream. Different from many people, he did not manufacture what had been made by others. He began with difficult products, which required much creativity. He made some machines and tools to produce some details for the Can Tho PP Packaging Plant. Sympathising with his misfortune, the plant’s leaders created favourable conditions for his products to be used on a trial basis. After many failures, he succeeded in manufacturing details, which could replace imported products, helping the plant save money. From then on, he bought more machines and equipment to manufacture more high quality precision details. His rubber joints had good thermal and wear resistance, indeed becoming the favourite choice of many customers in localities nearby.

He made a bold decision when he began to tube bushes for propellers, which had been imported from developed countries. To manufacture the product, it cost him much time reading documents, trying to find a suitable formulae. As he could not find documents about the product, he tried method after method. Finally, he created technology and machines to manufacture the product, which has the same quality as imported products. The 721 Road Construction Mechanics and Maintenance Company, a large enterprise in Can Tho, was the first customer to use his products to replace products imported from Denmark.

In 2005, he signed contracts to supply his products to major shipyards in Ho Chi Minh City, including the Ba Son Shipyard. Also a big fishing equipment supply enterprise in Kien Giang has signed a contract to act as authorised agent for his products in the southern market.

To facilitate his business and production activities, he applied for licences to set up the Tri Tue private enterprises in 2000. At the same time, he developed certain standards for his strategic products on a basis of standards set by developed countries. His rubber tube bushes for propellers were granted a patent certificate by Vietnam Registration, and have been assembled for large-sized ships. The product won a gold medal by the Ministry of Industry and was voted as a Vietnamese high quality good in 2004.

So far, the Tri Tue enterprise has total assets valued at VND 3 billion, including VND 1 billion in current assets with 600 square metres of workshops, and 15 machines for specific purposes and hundreds of moulds, as well as a 500 square metre land fund in the Cai Son-Hang Bang industrial and handicraft park in Can Tho city. The enterprise’s revenues reached VND 1.5 billion in 2004, or three fold higher than that of 2002.

With a foundation of scientific and technological creativity and prestige in business, the Tri Tue private enterprise continues to develop, creating more high quality products.
