8th Session of NA 11th Legislation Opens
The eighth session of the National Assembly’s 11th Legislation officially opens on October 18 in Hanoi with the major aim at passing 14 laws and a resolution and discussing on nine other laws.
NA Chairman Nguyen Van An said at the opening ceremony that of the session will focus on revise the implementation of socio-economic plans in 2005, analyze shortcomings in the year and suggest feasible solutions for successfully carry out tasks in the fields of socio-economic development, national defence and security, and foreign affairs in 2006 and the five-year plan in 2006-2010.
At the session, NA deputies for the first time will discuss four political documents to be submitted to the Tenth National Party Congress, namely the political report, the socio-economic development strategy, the report on Party building and Amendments to the Party statute, Bui Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the NA Office said.
As usual, the deputies will examine reports on progress toward, the nation's targets and the State Budget in 2005, orientations and tasks and also estimate the allocation of the State Budget for 2006.
They will also hear evaluations of the above said reports presented by the NA Economic and Budget Committee and other NA related Committees.
