A series of art programs were held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia diplomatic relations.

First of all, the "Come Together" music performance, organized by the Australian Embassy and the Australian Consulate General, featured three Australian artists and three Vietnamese singers. The event showcased Vietnamese and Australian cultures, and all artists sang the 'Come Together' song recently released by Australian artists.

The next was the reception party, hosted by the Australian Embassy in Hanoi, attended by more than 500 guests and partners of the Australian Government in Vietnam. Singer Isaiah Firebrace had a unique performance with his two famous songs with the Australian military band. Australian and Vietnamese military musicians also gave excellent performances of Australian rock music and traditional Vietnamese songs.

Australian Ambassador Goledzinowski said, “The 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations is not only to look back on what the two countries have achieved, but also to look to the future. We hope to upgrade the bilateral relationship to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This will bring bilateral relations to the highest level, helping the two countries strengthen cooperation, jointly seize opportunities and address emerging challenges.”

Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said, “I believe that, with the strong mutual supplement of the two economies, the great potential of each country and the growing political trust between Vietnam and Australia, we will work together to lift the bilateral relationship to a new high as agreed on the official visit to Australia by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue last December.”

In 2023, many more meaningful economic, social and cultural activities will be held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia diplomatic relations.
