Vietnam Airlines to Add Three Flights from Russia during Lunar New Year
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will add three one-way flights home from Russia making a total of seven flights a week between December 29, 2005 and February 16, 2006, according to an airline official.
The move is to meet increasing demand for visits home by the Vietnamese community in Russia during Tet (the Lunar New Year festival) which will culminate by late-January, 2006, the official added.
The carrier predicted a surge of 30 per cent in the number of air passengers during the above-mentioned period into which both the lunar and solar New Year festivals fall.
