On Vietnamese traditional Tet holiday, many mobile phone networks are usually blocked due to high transaction traffic. Today, with efforts from these operators, solving this problem has become a reality.

Vinaphone have got several years experience behind them, so this year, the company has implemented a series of serious preparations as well as enhanced its network to limit the blocking situation on this year’s Lunar New Year.

At present, Vinaphone has 8 transmitter ports with a large configuration to quickly solve communication errors in areas where the total number of calls rises rapidly and leads to transaction jams. Technical officers will also be arranged and reinforced to face and deal with blocks and other problems.

In 2005, despite of having a very fierce competition, Vinaphone developed an additional of 1.1 million subscribers and realized 110 per cent of its assigned plan. Up to December 31st 2005, Vinaphone has 3.6 million subscribers. Moreover, the turnover of Vinaphone has exceeded its plan for 2005. At the end of 2005, Vinaphone had 15 switchboards; roughly 1,600 transmit and receiver ports. The Vinaphone network covers all provinces as well as remote districts.
