National Danish Performance Team Visits Vietnam
The National Danish Performance Team consists of a group of young gymnasts who have been chosen to travel to more than 15 countries around the world with for 10 months. The team has given 800 performances and 600 workshops during the first 5 world tours and the coming 6th tour will add to this large number.
They are spending 3 weeks in Vietnam in February 2006 on their World Tour. Many Vietnamese will get the chance to meet the Danes and watch their creative and impressive performances or join inspiring workshops.
During the tour, the team will hold performances and workshops in Hanoi, Hue, Danang, Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City, but there will also be time for the team to go sightseeing and get to know Vietnam.
The gymnastics performances will impress anyone displaying modern rhythmic gymnastics, artistic vaulting and tumbling and colourful show items accompanied by selected music and costumes. The workshops will give people a chance to get to know the team and Danish gymnastics tradition.
The first National Danish Performance Team was formed in 1993 by the Danish Gymnastics Sports Associations, which comprises 4,959 local Danish associations with a membership of 1.3 million people – quite a lot, considering Denmark´s 5 million population.
