NA's Senior Wraps up Tour to New Zealand
Vietnamese Deputy Chief of the National Assembly External Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tram on February 8 concluded her three-day visit to New Zealand aiming to boost relations between the two highest legislator bodies.
During the visit, the Vietnamese diplomat met with top leaders of the New Zealand Congress, Governor General Dame Silvia Cartwright, and Prime Minister Helen Clark. Tram and the foreign leaders agreed at meetings to work more closely in the coming period.
Also, Tram held working session with the Ministry of Education of New Zealand to learn experiences in training issue, and paid a working visit to some universities in the foreign country.
Two weeks ago, on January 28, Vietnam had gained New Zealand backing for its bid to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) by singing an agreement to wrap up the negotiation process. Which was considered a considerable forward for Vietnam in its efforts to join the Geneva-based trade body.
New Hanoi
