Since its inception more than a decade ago, AMECC Mechanical Construction Joint Stock Company (AMECC JSC), formerly LISEMCO 2 Joint Stock Company, has increasingly asserted its solid position in the construction mechanical industry in Vietnam and reached world class. Along with its commitment to quality and strict management system, the official renaming to AMECC JSC in 2016 not only opened a new chapter but also laid the foundation for its operational expansion and technological modernization strategies and its approach to deeper integration into the global value chain.

Industry leader with comprehensive production capacity

AMECC is currently a leading specialist in steel structure and equipment fabrication, module assembly, hot-dip galvanization, construction and project installation in northern Vietnam. The company also serves as a general contractor/EPC contractor for large-scale civil and industrial projects.

“With a team of highly skilled professionals and a modern factory system meeting ISO standard, AMECC is dedicated to providing top-quality products and services that meet the strictest demands of both domestic and international markets. Guided by its core values of Quality, Progress and Efficiency, AMECC has earned the trust of major global partners, including Samsung, BHI, Hyundai, Sankyu, VOGT Power, MHI, Marubeni, Kirchner, KT, TNT, EVN and PVN,” said Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Deputy General Director of AMECC.

AMECC has been actively involved in numerous key projects both domestically and internationally. Notably, in the Cau Rao 1 Bridge Project in Hai Phong, AMECC was responsible for the fabrication and installation of the entire steel structure, which was successfully completed in January 2022. Another example is the waste heat recovery power generation package at Hai Phong Cement Plant, where AMECC served as the main contractor for construction. AMECC partnered with Samsung Engineering (SENA) to establish the Global Module Center Joint Venture Company (GMC) at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park. Through this collaboration, AMECC has exported dozens of large-scale modules, ranging from several hundred tons to over 1,000 tons, to major petrochemical projects such as Sarawak (Malaysia) and RLP (UAE).

These projects have demonstrated AMECC’s capabilities while reaffirming its reputation and expertise in project management, on-time delivery and safety compliance.

In 2024 alone, AMECC invested over VND50 billion to upgrade its machinery and equipment, including 6kW, 10kW and 60kW laser cutting machines, tower cranes, gantry cranes, forklifts and trailers. This investment has enabled the company to expand its cutting capacity to over 8,000 tons a month and steel structure fabrication output to over 6,000 tons a month, with productivity in the fabrication stage reaching more than 10 tons per worker a month.

Additionally, AMECC’s internal transportation and delivery system, with nearly 1,600 truck trips completed a year, has helped reduce outsourcing costs considerably and proved its clear investment efficiency in practice.

Besides, AMECC has carried out a series of technical innovations such as laser applications for profile steel connections and optimized beam assembly processes and a synchronized painting rack system, helping enhance its productivity and product quality while minimizing production errors.

Digital transformation - Major leap in business administration

AMECC established a Digital Transformation Committee and gradually adopted software platforms such as BASE PLATFORM for task and internal process management, and BRAVO for accounting and finance operations.

This strategic move is aimed at production standardization, project management, traceability and transparency in business administration. Since late 2024, AMECC has developed its own production management software system, comprising multiple integrated modules to ensure seamless coordination across production stages, paving the way for AMECC to evolve into a smart, modern mechanical engineering enterprise.

Amid shifting global supply chains, Hai Phong, where AMECC is headquartered, is increasingly seen as a promising center for mechanical processing and manufacturing in the region. However, to truly embrace this opportunity, companies like AMECC must have transformational changes in mindset and development strategy.

Accordingly, the company clearly defines its strategic approach, from basic fabrication to modern industry, based on the following key pillars:

Enhancing management capacity: Applying the MIV Lean Management Technology to its entire AMECC system to achieve the “Five Standards” (Safety - Quality - Profitability - Speed - Synergy) and deliver “Five Practical Values” for all stakeholders (For oneself, for one’s family, for the company, for customers, and for the broader society.)

Developing high-quality human resources: Focusing on training engineers and skilled workers proficient in specialized design software, while maintaining strong partnerships with technical colleges and universities in the locality.

Upgrading technology and engineering capabilities: Upgrading automation in all production processes such as welding and surface treatment while investing heavily in research and development (R&D) and digital transformation through modern management systems like ERP.

Meeting international standards: AMECC has constantly improved its QA/QC processes, achieved and maintained a wide range of international certifications, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011, EN 1090-2:2018, EN ISO 3834-2:2021, ASME (S, U, PP), NBBI-R, CWB and AISC to meet rigorous standards demanded by global partners.

Enhancing manufacturing and export capacity: The company has expanded its production facilities at its headquarters and in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, equipped them with synchronized machinery and adopted lean manufacturing practices to enable AMECC to ensure construction schedule with high productivity and gradually lift the share of exports to over 95% of its fabrication revenue.

In addition, AMECC pursues a sustainable development policy and embraces social responsibility. Besides its focus on business development, the company actively contributes to community welfare like supporting underprivileged families during public holidays, participating in poverty reduction programs, delivering aid for disaster-affected areas (e.g., Typhoon Yagi) and pandemic relief (COVID-19), preserving spiritual heritage sites and providing support for earthquake recovery in Myanmar.

“AMECC clearly defines its development roadmap: Leveraging its geographical advantage and high-quality expertise, boosting strategic alliances with long-standing partners, expanding markets, and enhancing production and financial capacity to catch up with integration trends. Then, the company can deeply integrate into the global value chain, with human resources, management and technology as its core pillars,” Tuan emphasized.
