HCM City Witnesses Robust Card Growth in First Quarter
Total card trading volume in Ho Chi Minh City in the first quarter reached VND3.35 trillion, equal to 29 per cent of the volume recorded in the whole year 2005, said the Central Bank.
During the time, the city installed 63 new automated teller machines (ATMs), boosting total ATMs in the southern hub to 480.
To date, the number of cards issued totals 577,400, up by 38,360 cards compared to the end of last year.
Currently, the network of points of sales (Pos) is increasingly expanded, totaling 6,000 Pos across the city.
