Russian Infantry Deputy Chief of Staff A.S. Morozov arrived in Hanoi yesterday starting his working visit in Vietnam, An Ninh Thu Do (Capital Security) reported today.

 

After his arrival, the Russian Deputy Commander held a talk with Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Huy Hieu.

 

Though no particular information about the talk and the purpose of the trip has been released observers said this trip would focus on commitments to cooperate more closely between the two armies, including trade in military equipment that was made during the trip of Russian Prime Minister in February this year.

 

Early last month, Grigoryevich Shevchenco President of Institute of Security, Defense and Jurisdiction also visited Vietnam. He pledged to share experiences in maintaining security and social order with Ho Chi Minh City officials.
