NEC Solutions Viet Nam (NECSV) was opened in Hanoi by Japan’s IT and electronics giant NEC as a part of its expansion plan in one of the fastest emerging IT markets in the region.

The company, with capital of US$1 million, will specialise in four major areas including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, services relating on server and network security, software out-sourcing and software development and software package products (PP).

Teruaki Fukasawa, NECSV’s general director said: "With well-trained labour forces and a fast growing market, Viet Nam will bring good business opportunities for multinational companies like NEC. We hope we will help Viet Nam to develop its IT sector with innovative solutions”.

According to NECSV, in the ERP field, it will focus on Japanese manufacturing companies operating in Viet Nam. The company said it plans to bring its total number of employees from the current 40 to 120 during the next three years to cope with the emerging growth rate.
