Vietnam-China Border Trade and Tourism Fair to be Held
The 2006 Vietnam-China Border Trade and Tourism Fair will be held on November 3, 2006 in Dongxing city, Guangxi province, China, with a theme ‘Mutual Benefit and Development.’
There are nine major activities included in the fair’s agenda, including an exhibition to introduce tourism products and resources; a programme to introduce Vietnam-China border tourism environment and resources; a seminar on economic co-operation in the Tonkin Gulf with the development of Dongxing city, a ceremony for introducing and signing contracts of border trade projects, a Vietnam-China youth festival and many other food and cultural exchange programmes.
Vietnam will attend the event with 200 pavilions and has registered a 3,000 square metre display for household woodworks.
Since 2005, Dongxing has organised ten Vietnam-China border trade and tourism fairs. On April 15, 2006, in Hanoi, the People’s Committee of Mong Cai city of Vietnam and authorities of Dongxing city of China signed an agreement on the organising Vietnam-China border trade and tourism fairs. Accordingly, Mong Cai and Dongxing will take turns in hosting the event.
