Agroviet Fair Opens to Boost Agricultural Exports

The International Agriculture Trade Fair (Agroviet 2006) will be held at the Vietnam Agriculture Exhibition and Marketing Centre in Hanoi from September 14-18, according to a press conference in Hanoi on Sep 8.

 

The fair, co-organised by the Vietnam Agriculture Exhibition and Marketing Centre and the National Agricultural Promotion Centre under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, is expected to attract the participation of many foreign enterprises, NGOs, Agriculture and Rural Development Departments of provinces and cities nationwide; institutes, and craft associations, co-operatives and farms.

 

New strains of plants and animals, bio-products, processed agricultural goods and handicraft items were displayed by 146 local businesses and other foreign traders at 220 pavilions. Mechanical engineering equipment, machinery, and equipment for harvesting and processing farm produce are also being displayed.

 

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will present the Golden Cup for high-quality farm produce at the event.
