TOTO Vietnam has just opened its second high-grade sanitary ware factory in Thang Long Industrial Park in Dong Anh District, Hanoi. The factory with whole Japanese US$52 million raised total Toto’s investment in Vietnam to US$75 million.

The plant, which kicked off construction on 46,000 square meters in February 2005, is the first in Southeast Asia to be equipped with large-scale assembly line able to make 750,000 sanitary ceramic items a year. Mr. KOJI TAKESHIMA, General Director of Toto Vietnam, said: “As the Vietnamese economy is growing fast and the living standard of the Vietnamese people is improving, the demand for high-grade sanitary ware will be certainly on the rise.

In the context of Vietnam’s preparations for the WTO admission, Toto considers Vietnam a good investment environment and a potential consumption market. Through the export of Toto Vietnam’s high-grade sanitary ware, we take the honour to contribute to the heightening of Vietnam’s economic position on the international arena.”
