In the past years, Viet Tien Garment Co. has specially paid attention to intellectual property. Currently, the company has more than large business partners in 52 countries in the world. As for Viet Tien markets, the US accounts for 35 per cent, EU 25 per cent, Japan 15 per cent, ASEAN countries 15 per cent and Vietnam 10 per cent. In the past years, Viet Tien invested in additional 2,546 electronic devices of all kinds, accounting for 36 per cent of the company’s total equipment.
In nine consecutive years from 1997 to 2005, Viet Tien products were selected Top-ten Vietnamese products. Viet Tien products won 153 medals of all kinds, including 71 gold medals) at national and international trade fairs.
In the first six months of 2006, the company earned revenues of over VND1,230 billion (US$76.88 million) and an export turnover of US$121 million and paid VND32 billion (US$2 million) to the State Budget, an on-year increase of 18 per cent. Together with signed contracts, Viet Tien is confident of gaining a turnover of VND2,700 billion (US$168.75 million) and an export turnover of US$250 million and paying VND68 billion (US$4.25 million) to the State Budget in 2006. The company expects a net profit of VND60 billion (US$3.75 million), a year-on-year rise of 18-20 per cent. Viet Tien continues being the largest unit of the Vietnam Garment & Textile Group (Vinatex).
