A hypermarket covering 14,000 sq.m at Melinh Plaza, the first-ever construction material and interior furniture trade center in Vietnam, at the 8th kilometer of the Thang Long-Noi Bai Highway south of Hanoi, was inaugurated on December 11.
The hypermarket showcases over 40,000 domestic and foreign products ranging from ceramic tiles, granite, colored concrete roof, acrylic emulsion paint, electronic products and household appliances, to bicycles and motorbikes.
Well-known European trademarks such as Tefal, Robanta and Braun electrical and household appliances, Black and Decker, Metabo and Connex tools as well as Karcher washers are also displayed at the hypermarket.
The shopping center is a joint endeavor between the Melinh Center and Germany's EMV-Profi supermarket system. The latter helps its partner in designing pavilions and training managers in addition to providing goods to Melinh Hypermarket.
The Melinh Plaza, with a total investment of $24 million, comprises a main building with three satellites all on 67,000sq.m, where construction materials and interior furniture will be sold and displayed. Next to them will be an office building and apartments for lease standing on 15,000sq.m, a 1,000sq.m restaurant and two general warehouses with areas of 10,000sq.m and 30,000sq.m.
