Strengthening Vietnam-Germany Relationship

Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening friendship and multifaceted cooperation with the European Union (EU), particularly Germany, following a meeting with Chairman of German Left-wing Party Lothar Bisky in Hanoi on December 18. He hopes the traditional good relationship between the two parties will contribute to further boost the friendship and cooperative ties between Vietnam and Germany.

 

Chairman Lothar Bisky also affirmed that the German left-wing Party considers Vietnam an important partner and supports Vietnam’s revolutionary cause with a view to boosting Vietnam-Germany co-operative relations.

 

The chairman expressed his pleasure at Vietnam’s rapid changes along the way to a socialist society. He briefed his host on Germany’s situation and the German left-wing Party's activities for the sake of peace, welfare, democracy, equality and social progress.
