VinaCapital to Build US$150Mln Golf Course in Central Vietnam
The fund manager VinaCpital on December 28 got license to build a resort and golf course in Ngu Hanh Son District in the central city of Danang .
The complex will have total investment capital of US$150 million. It covers an area of 260 ha, including 40 ha devoted to the construction of a five-star hotel and resort for holidaymakers. The remaining 220 ha will be used to build luxurious apartments and a 36-hole golf course, the first of international standard in the central region.
VinaCapital general director Don Lam said his firm wanted to coordinate with local authorities to explore the city's potential, especially its superb beaches, and to attract more foreign holidaymakers, developing the local tourism sector.
In November 2006, VinaCapital invested US$200 million in an urban complex in Son Tra District, composed of a commercial centre, office-buildings, hotels, luxury villas and international schools.
