Japanese Investors Seek Opportunities in Central Province
A delegation of nineteen managers and chief representatives of Japanese businesses operating in Vietnam arrived in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on December 21 to explore the provincial investment climate, hoping for business opportunity in the near future.
At the meeting with provincial authorities, entrepreneurs led by Canon Viet Nam’s General Director Kageyama Sachio focused their inquiries, at a working session with local authorities, on the province's investment promotion strategy, the one-stop licensing service, possible issues in business operation and land lease prices.
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Ly introduced the potential and preferential investment policies for the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone and the Phu Bai Industrial Park,
Japanese investment in Vietnam has been rapidly rising for the past few years the chairman emphasized, but remains modest in Thua Thien-Hue with just four projects.
He called for more firms from the powerful economy to enter the central locality, assuring the province will offer the most favorable conditions for the investors.
