Additional US$23Mln Flows into Phu Bai
Phu Bai Industrial Park (IP) in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue attracted a combined registered investment capital of around VND368 billion (roughly US$23 million) for seven projects so far this year.
The figure has brought the number of projects operating in the IZ to date to 22, with three foreign-invested projects worth a combined registered capital of nearly VND1.2 trillion.
The Huda Brewery, whose construction kicked off late 2006, was the largest project in the IP this year with an investment capital of VND293 billion and a designed annual capacity of 100 million liters of beer.
The province has poured about VND15 billion to upgrade the Phu Bai IP' infrastructure to raise its competitiveness.
As of late November this year, Thua Thien-Hue has attracted 32 foreign-owned projects capitalized at $230.85 million.
