Incomfish Wins US$12.5Mln Deal with US's IMS
Investment Commercial Fish (Incomfish) and the US’s IMS have signed a contract worth $12.5 million to export seafood to the US market, said Trinh Ba Hoang, chief executive officer (CEO) of Incomfish.
The value of deal is more than 6 times the total US export turnover of $2 million Incomfish earned in 2006.
The US is a potential market because, this year importers are not concerned about antidumping duties, said Hoang.
IMS and Incomfish signed the contract under CNF condition, in which the importers will be levied, not exporters.
Incomfish targets revenue of $28 million from exports in 2007.
The Japanese Marubeni Corporation is seeking to buy stake in Incomfish. (Securities Investment)
