Vietnam, Cuba Sign IT Cooperation Deal

Cuban Minister of Informatics and Communications Ramiro Valdes Menendez paid a working visit to Vietnam from April 1-3, 2007, to consolidate and intensify information and communication technology cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.

Menendez and his Vietnamese counterpart talked about reinforcing cooperation in post, telecom and IT, aiming to enhance the level of development and capacity of the post, telecom and IT industries of the two countries, and foster progress and friendly relations between the peoples of Vietnam and Cuba. The two sides signed memoranda of understanding on cooperation.

 

The cooperative contents include polices and experience in popularising ICT applications in remote and mountainous areas, and encouraging enterprises to develop cooperation deals in supplying services, manufacturing equipment and developing software.
