Vietnam, Egypt Urged to Boost Cooperation
Vietnam and Egypt should promote cooperation in tourism, aquaculture, agriculture, the pharmaceutical industry, and education and training, urged Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung when he talked with Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Fayza Aboulnaga in Hanoi on April 1.
Fayza Aboulnaga is in Vietnam to attend the third session of the inter-government committee between the two countries.
Vietnam is willing to share with Egypt its experiences in bird flu prevention and fighting, aquaculture, and medicine production, Dung added.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister asked the two countries to continue creating favorable conditions for agencies, organizations, and enterprises in both sides to boost ties, with an aim to bring Vietnam-Egypt economic and trade cooperation to a new height to keep up with political relations.
Dung thanked Egypt for support for Vietnam’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The Egyptian Minister informed the Vietnamese leader of the result of the meeting of the inter-government committee, which focused on four key cooperation areas of aquaculture, pharmaceuticals, tourism and agriculture.
