Industrial Production Value Reaches VND48,675 Billion in May

The Planning Department from the Ministry of Industry said the industrial output value in May is estimated to reach VND48,675 billion (US$3 billion), up 2.7 per cent on month and 17.1 per cent on year, totalling VND225,778 billion (US$14.11 billion) in the January-May period, up 16.8 per cent year on year.

 

Particularly, the State-owned sector rose 7.9 per cent (centrally State-owned section up 10.8 per cent, locally state-owned 2.1 per cent and Industry Ministry-run group up 11.7 per cent), the non-state sector increased 20.4 per cent and foreign sector jumped 19.3 per cent (oil and gas down 2,3 per cent, others up 24.0 per cent).

 

Among 18 companies under the Ministry of Industry, 11 companies made on-month rise and 15 made on-year rise. In the January-May period, 17 companies reported on-year increase of 11.7 per cent on average.
