Vietnam, Russia Open Seminar on Textile Trade
Vietnam and Russia leading textile officials and businesses are gathering in an international seminar in Moscow from September 25 to 28 as part of Russia’s 29 the Federal Trade Fair for Textile and Light Industry Goods and Equipment.
Vietnam’s textile and garment companies, including the Hanoi Garment and Textile Company (Hanosimex), Garment 10, Nha Be and Sai Gon 2, are showcasing their products at the seminar.
Vietnam was estimated to gain US$12.3 million from exporting garments and textiles products to Russia in June, up 16.4 per cent on-year and 78.8 per cent on-month, representing the highest growth so far.
Vietnam-Russia bilateral trade is expected to reach 2-3 billion in 2010, up 1.8-2.7 times against 2005.
According to Investment newspaper, Vietnam has been elected as chairman of the ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX) for the first time. (VNA, Investment)
