Ho Chi Minh City needs more than VND50 trillion (US$3.1 billion) for its major transport infrastructure projects between now and 2010, the municipal People’s Committee said.

The projects include building the municipal metro and expressway systems, the committee said.

Of the sum, 45 per cent is expected to be sourced from ODA loans, 50 per cent from the State budget, and the remaining capital from local and foreign investors.

The municipal committee will hold a seminar to call on investment capital into the projects. (VNA)
