Success from Eagerness
VIB Forum talked with Ms Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, chairman of Song May Industrial Park Development Company and known as a successful businesswoman.
Could you please talk about your feeling on being awarded the Vietnamese Typical Entrepreneur title?
For me, winning the prize has great importance. After 20 years of hardship in the severe business world, at last I was recognized as an official entrepreneur. The prize will become more significant because I was previously a retired official, and I did business with an aim of getting rid of poverty and helping my family. Thanks to my industriousness and eagerness to learn, I became an official entrepreneur in the new period of the country.
“In order to have rapid and sustainable development, growth in quantity has to go with quality, efficiency and competitiveness.” What do you think about this opinion?
I also think that quality is a priority. Since the establishment of the construction company which was then transformed to infrastructure business in Song May Industrial Park, as well as in the operation of Dong Nai Protection Company, I always place prestige and quality on the top. In order to support rapid and sustainable development, the building of a strong company is very important to meet increasing customer and market demand.
Could you please talk about your key to success in your work and family?
I have no secret. The determination to finish the work has helped me plan and arrange time for each task. For my family, I always make the best of my time to take care of my mother and children. The help of colleagues has also reduced the work burden for me to spend more time for my family.
