Viet Nhat Seafood Corporation Reaffirming Trademark
Viet Nhat Seafood Corporation, which was set up in 2001, went public on May 10, 2007. The company, staffed by 800 employees, including 113 engineers, specialises in manufacturing and processing seafood products such as cuttle-fish, shrimps, crabs and octopuses. As much as 70 per cent of the company’s products are exported to Japan and the remainder to the US.
To meet the growing demand and ensure healthy material sources, the company invested in buying nine fishing boats to collect materials at sea. The revenues in the first nine months in 2007 reached VND93.695 billion while the profit grew 26 per cent. At present, Viet Nhat Seafood is finalising procedures to list on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) in the first quarter of 2008.
Grasping the opportunity and understanding the significance of development and competition, Viet Nhat Seafood has boldly invested in the machinery, equipment and technology from developed nations and trained employees to grasp essential knowledge for the manufacture of products meeting strict requirements of importing markets. So far, Viet Nhat Seafood is one of 58 seafood exporters that Japanese importers completely believe as it exports products of no chemical residues.
Speaking of development orientations, Nguyen Van Nhut, General Director of Viet Nhat Seafood, said, our business results come from traditional customers and products of high quality. Our skilled engineers always carefully check the output and are continuously trained to improve working capacity. Input materials are meticulously checked to eliminate chemical residues and ensure food hygiene and safety.
The market demand will strongly increase in the coming time, especially in Europe. The current output of the company’s factory in Vinh Loc Industrial Park cannot satisfy the demand. Thus, the company is promoting the construction of canned food factory in Long An Province to produce crabs, fish and other products to meet the growing demand in the US, Canada, the EU and South Korea. The firm is also building a tra and basa catfish production plant with a daily output of 200 tonnes in Ben Tre Province. The firm progresses of Viet Nhat Seafood help affirm the Vietnamese companies’ capacity on the world market.
