PetroVietnam Mulls Expansion in Central Vietnam

State-owned oil monopoly PetroVietnam has recently worked with provincial authorities of Quang Binh for its investment plans in the province, the Trade newspaper reported December 25.
 
General Director Tran Ngoc Canh talked with local officials about construction of shipbuilding, hydroelectricity, mineral exploitation, petroleum depot in Hon La port area.
 
PetroVietnam plans to build kaolin, cement and glasses plants, resorts, hotels and industrial zones in the province, Canh stated.
 
PetroVietnam group has recently said that it will invest between US$500 million and US$800 million in big real estate and tourism projects in Hanoi and Ninh Binh in the near future. (Trade)
