TNT to Invest EUR100 Mln to Expand Vietnam-ASEAN Logistics Systems
TNT Post Group (TPG), the Netherlands’ leading International Mail & Logistics group said it will invest EUR100 (US$157.2 million) million to develop its logistics networks in Vietnam and ASEAN bloc in the five next year.
TNT plans to buy a Boeing 747-400ER to transport express service commodities for Vietnam and ASEAN countries.
“Boeing 747 will transit in Singapore daily, which will help TNT Vietnam ensure to provide cargos, especially during the peak time,” Mark Van Den Assem, General Director of TNT Vietrans Express Worldwide (Vietnam) Ltd. or TNT Vietnam, a joint venture between TPG and Vietrans, an International Forwarder of Vietnam said.
In the first quarter this year, the trade volume between TNT Vietnam and Europe soared 30 per cent, the trade volume between TNT Vietnam and Singapore was up 35 per cent and TNT Vietnam and China 90 per cent, according to TNT's statistics. (VIR)
