Vietnam Deputy PM Tours North European Nations
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung and his high-profile government delegation left Hanoi June 8 to start an official tour to Denmark, Poland and Sweden at the invitations of the Northern European governments, state media reported Tuesday.
While in Demark, Hung and his entourage held talks with Danish Minister of Climate and Energy Connie Hedegaard, focusing topics on impacts of global climate change, with Vietnam among hit-hardest nations.

Deputy PM Hung requested the Danish government to continue to support Vietnam in ways to save energy, raise efficiency of energy use, protect ecosystems and combat climate change.
As scheduled, the Vietnamese government leader will pay a courtesy visit to Queen Margrethe II and hold talks with his counterpart Bendt Bendtsen June 10.
On the occasion, Hung also attends an artistic performance highlighting Vietnam Day in northern Europe performed by Vietnamese artists.
Deputy PM Hung is making his tour to North Europe from June 9-17 while the President Nguyen Minh Triet will conclude today his tour to other European nations of Austria, Norway and Greece. (Website of government, The People)
