Vinashin Affiliate Launches 1,700 TEU Cargo Ship
The Bach Dang Shipbuilding Co, an affiliate of the Vinashin Business Group, November 18 launched a 1,700 TEU container ship ordered by the Bien Dong Shipping JS Company.
The cargo freighter, VINASHIN EPPRESS–01, is 184.1 meters long, 25.30 meters wide, and 13.50 meters high. It is designed by a Polish company.
On the same day, the Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company also laid down a keel of a 22,500-ton cargo ship which is built for the Vietnam Shipping Lines Corporation (Vinalines). (Vietnam Economic Times)
