Vietnam-Chile 08 Trade Grows 9 per cent to US$177.37 Mln

Bilateral trade between Vietnam and Chile in 2008 reached US$177.37 million, up 9 per cent on-year and eight times against 2002, according to Chilean Export Promotion Agency (ProChile).
 
Of the total, Vietnam exported US$80.63 million worth of goods to Chile, up 46.37 per cent on-year and imported US$96.74 million during the year, down 10.11 per cent.
 
Vietnam’s key exports to the Latin American country include sports shoes, shirts, coffee, printers and cotton fabric. Meanwhile the country imported bronze, cod-liver oil, wine, salmon, machines and equipment, and paper pulp. (Vietnam & World Economy)
